“Failure is personal…” — Veteran actor Chiwetalu Agu shares a powerful message on resilience, growth, and never giving up.

Veteran Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu has advised Nigerians not to let personal failures or negative experiences discourage others, emphasizing that one person’s outcome should not be used to judge every situation.

In a viral video, the actor advised people not to discourage others simply because a particular path or opportunity did not work out for them.

He noted, “Don’t discourage anybody just because you had a bad experience. Just because it didn’t work for you, doesn’t mean it won’t work for another person. Failure is personal, not universal.”

Agu also spoke on common misconceptions about marriage, noting that while marriage may not be considered an achievement, it has still worked well for many people.

He added, “Yes, it is true that marriage is not an achievement, but marriage does work. Just because yours didn’t work out, doesn’t mean it won’t work for others

He said, “The fact that you had a bad experience in a church doesn’t mean all churches are evil… Church is a living thing and many churches are genuine.”

He further applied the message to career and business challenges, stressing that one person’s failure does not define or predict the outcome for others.

According to him, “The fact that you tried and failed does not mean others will fail too. Grace differs.”

Agu encouraged people to remain persistent and resilient, urging them to keep pushing forward and explore new paths whenever necessary.

He said, “If you fall, rise again and keep trying or switch paths until you find what works for you… You never truly know until you try.”

He concluded by reminding viewers not to project their pain and disappointments onto others, adding that every individual’s journey is different., Failure is not proof that something is impossible… The fact that it delays does not mean it is denied.”
